I spend a lot of time playing in Google Earth between trips to the mountains. Years ago I stumbled upon Roaring Creek coming down off of the Roan Highlands. A few years back I managed to find my way up the road beside the creek on a blustery, overcast, autumn day. The photo I took that day hangs on my office wall to this day. This shot was taken at about the same place but on a summer day after a haying. The day was cool, the wind was light... It was a great day to be in the mountains...
